Emergency Medical Responder- Initial

The Emergency Medical Responder course prepares the EMR student to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of EMRs, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, and special considerations for working in the prehospital setting. Students completing this course will be eligible to seek certification from the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board.

Emergency Medical Responder Refresher

This 16 hour course meets the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board refresher requirements for the Emergency Medical Responder.

Emergency Medical Technician Initial Certification

This rigorous course is designed to provide the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). This course, based on the US Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum will provide the student with the basic knowledge to be certified as an EMT.  The course is approximately 180 hours in length and includes didactic content as well as skills development. All students will participate in a clinical experience with an ambulance service or in an emergency room.
Successful completion of the course will allow the student to seek National and State Certification.

Emergency Medical Technician NCCP Refresher (20 Hours)

This 20 hour course covers the National Components of the EMT National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) as defined by the NREMT.
